KSLA caught Joe Biden lying about Louisiana losing 400 jobs a week. In fact, they mention that in a week in January, Louisiana gained 400 new jobs. The report comes off of comments that the Vice President said this morning in an interview.
The Louisiana Workforce Commission, the state’s agency that processes unemployment says that initial unemployment claims continue to decrease. Louisiana was the only state in December to add new jobs in the nation as well as adding new jobs all three months of the last quarter of 2008. Earlier this week the Wall Street Journal reported that Mardi Gras in New Orleans has been the biggest since Katrina.
The State of Louisiana is holding its own during the recession. Things aren’t great right now but we’re in a lot better shape than most states in the Union. I can only guess that the Administration’s attacks on Gov. Bobby Jindal is because they see him as a threat. While Jindal’s speech lacked delivery, it was on point with his message.
I ask my fellow Louisianians to write to Vice President Biden and tell him to stop attacking our governor and spreading lies about our state. We’re holding our own pretty well over here.
Oh by the way, it’s just Jin-dal not Jin-DAAAHL.
